John Paolillo — a.k.a. Johnnie P. — has been a choreographer for television and stage for over fifteen years. His choreography is a culmination of his in-depth training in Jazz, Modern, Funk, Tap, Hip-Hop and Musical Theater. Paolillo has choreographed and co-directed eleven musicals, including: GREASE, JOSEPH, FUNNY GIRL, GUYS AND DOLLS and PIPPIN. He was also the choreographer for the off- Broadway hit PINK ELEPHANTS. His work was seen on stage at the Elan Awards in celebration of honoree Lar Lubovitch and again at BROADWAY BARES #15 in collaboration with Dennis Jones for Jerry Mitchell.
Currently, Johnnie P. is the house choreographer for LIVE! with Regis and Kelly, where he has been in charge of the production numbers for The Relly-Awards, The Mutt America contest and Dancing With The Fans, in which he was featured daily for the week-long segment and was nominated for a Relly the second year in a row. His other television credits include extensive work for ABC, CBS, and NBC promos, featuring high profile artists such as Queen Latifah, Little Richard, and Ben Vereen. Johnnie’s talents have put him to work with companies such as NIKE and WARNER BROS. He is the creator of the NYSC/ALL SHOOK UP and SWEET CHARITY Broadway Work Out, as well as the founder of The Adrenaline Dance Company.
Currently Johnnie P. is working on a new musical comedy which he has written and choreographed, entitled lbs: THE MUSICAL WITH WEIGHT BEHIND IT — a funny but real look at being full sized in a half-sized world. The message: big is beautiful... and... fat girls can dance.
